Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport is one of the only {international airports|air-ports|airfields} in the world to be based within the city's official borough. The airport was formerly called Sahar Airport terminal as it neighbours Sahar and Sata Cruz within Mumbai.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport was named after the {creator|owner|president} of the Indian or Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Shivaji. The Maratha were {a strong|an excellent|an effective} force across India and parts of Asia for {practically} 150 years, (1674 - 1818).
